Jim Putnam began his career at MARKEM Corporation in 1974, working his way up through a variety of management rolls to become general manager of US operations and a member of the board in 1987. Five years later he was elected President and in 1999, became Chairman. He retired from MARKEM in 2006.
Mr. Putnam is active in numerous organizations including Red Cross, Keene City Council, Monadnock United Way, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation (elected Chairman in 2007), and the Putnam Foundation. Jim has also been a board Trustee of Franklin Pierce College and Proctor Academy, and board member of Lab Tech, Hitchiner Manufacturing, and Spectra, Inc.
Mr. Putnam holds a B.A. from Hanover College and an M.B.A. from the Whittemore School of Business Administration, University of New Hampshire.
