Micronotes Secures Venture Financing from Harbor Light Capital Partners

Cambridge-based Interactive Marketing Start-up secures $1.65 Million in Venture Funding

Cambridge, MA, June 10, 2010 - Micronotes, Inc., a start-up company developing interactive marketing tools for marketers to mass produce digital sales calls, today announced it has completed a $1.65 Million venture financing round led by Harbor Light Capital Partners. The company will use the funding to accelerate product and market development.
Todd Warden, Managing Partner with Harbor Light Capital Partners, will join MIT Professor Nelson Repenning, semi-retired Venture Capitalist Harry Healer and CEO Devon Kinkead on the company's Board of Directors.
Micronotes is dedicated to radically improve the productivity of outbound marketing. Armed with the right information and forum, marketers can cut advertising and customer acquisition costs by 1/3 and boost marketing relevance to nearly 100%. Micronotes started as a research project at MIT.
"I’m thrilled to partner with Todd Warden and his firm who strike me as modern investors with the kind of old-fashioned ‘pre-dot.com’ values that I am used to" commented Devon Kinkead, Founder & CEO of Micronotes. “The timing and size of this round perfectly match our product development and launch plans" concluded Kinkead.
"We believe Micronotes has the opportunity to fundamentally change the landscape of direct marketing" said Todd Warden. "The company is led by a proven team with the technical ability, passion and drive we look for in entrepreneurs. This, in combination with their innovative technology and a huge market opportunity, position the company well to successfully introduce new, market defining products."
