Bloomsberg New Engergy Finance Recognizes Draker as a Leader in the Transformation of the Solar Energy Sector

New York - April 22, 2013 - Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the definitive source of insight, data and news on the transformation of the energy sector, today announced Draker as a 2013 New Energy Pioneer. Draker was recognized on stage at the sixth annual Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit in New York City.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Bloomberg New Energy Finance for our innovation and leadership in monitoring, management and control solutions for solar PV systems,” said Draker CEO Chach Curtis. “This award is a result of the hard work and inventiveness of our team in developing a revolutionary technology that helps solar PV owners and operators minimize operations & maintenance costs while maximizing system output.”

Innovation is part of Draker’s history, as they were the first company in the United States to provide independent monitoring and performance analysis of energy produced by solar arrays. Draker’s complete panel-to-grid (P2G) solutions include data acquisition and control hardware, Clarity™ DC analytics, Intelligent Array™ software, and a wide range of project and field-based services designed to predict, measure, monitor, manage, optimize and control solar assets to increase yield and maximize profitability.

This year’s winners represent a broad range of sectors including bioenergy, energy efficiency, digital energy, solar and water. By rewarding game-changing innovators, Bloomberg New Energy Finance hopes to highlight the speed of change in the sectors it serves.

Michael Liebreich, Chief Executive of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, said: “Tough times make for good entrepreneurs, and this is definitely what we are seeing in this year’s New Energy Pioneers. Once again we need to thank the judges, who had to winnow down a strong field to just ten winners. We wish them all luck in the coming years.”

The awards program, now in its fourth year, selects ten New Energy Pioneers each year. This year the independent panel of industry experts selected the winners from more than 200 candidates from around the world, assessing them against three criteria: innovation, demonstrated momentum and potential global scale.
